About me Jim Rodenmayer: I have always liked stories and enjoyed poetry since a young age. My first introduction to my own type of poetry was during a ninth grade assignment for a poetry notebook which included a section for original poetry. After the ninth grade my poetry was used for friends and girlfriends. A few years into my employment as an engineer at a local television station I found out my friend Jack who was a photographer was killed in an automobile accident. I wrote a poem about him for myself and shared it with my friend Wendy who also worked at the station. Days later I was told she took the poem to upper management and they decided to use my poem with a water color portrait of Jack for a memorial which still hangs on the wall at the station. I wrote different kinds of poems for projects for Wendy when she needed it. I try to create an original new Christmas poem each year to share with friends, family, and coworkers. I have been a television engineer since 1992.
