Richard J. Cherok is Associate Professor of Church History at Cincinnati Christian University, Cincinnati, Ohio. He received his Ph.D. from Kent State University and has written numerous articles for a variety of publications. Dr. Cherok serves on the Board of Directors for the Disciples of Christ Historical Society and on the Editorial board of the Stone-Campbell Journal. He has also served churches in Ohio and Arkansas.
