Selon by Steffen Phillip unveils a compelling tapestry of ancient legends, mystic destinies, and human struggles. In a sweeping saga that crosses centuries, we follow Selon Duradal, a descendant of the enigmatic Guanches, from his secluded life in France as a Druid of the Haedus tribe to the tumultuous events leading up to a pivotal confrontation with Rome. With a narrative rich in historical depth and mystical allure, Phillip crafts a world where swords forged from Damascus steel, secret languages, and ancient rites shape the destiny of a man caught between the love for his heritage and the brutal realities of a world on the brink of transformation. Selon’s journey from the tragic loss of his father to becoming Duradal, ‘the enduring one,’ is a testament to the enduring spirit of those who seek to preserve their identity amidst the ravages of time and conquest. As he navigates the complexities of allegiance, love, and the stark choices wrought by war, Selon embodies the eternal conflict between the preservation of the old ways and the inexorable march of progress.
