Gabriela is a willful, rebellious, and uncontrollable teenager in the wake of her parents’ divorce. In an attempt to calm her wild spirit, her mother sends her to live with her father, who lives in the outskirts of a small village called Berlin.


In a house on a coffee farm, she is subjected to a strict education from her father. She confronts the simple world of the peasants, faces the problems of the armed conflict, and falls in love with a man who makes her subdue the rebellion of her heart.
