Prayers of a simple heart offer a way of entering the journey of Lent. Andrew Hawes shares his own pilgrimage towards Easter encountering the depths and heights of encounter with God. These 40 ‘prayer-poems’ are the outworking on encountering the Gospel reading set for each day. They are offered as a springboard for thought, prayer and action: as windows opening fresh perspectives. They speak heart to heart. Many of these prayer poems are appropriate to any time or season.
