This is a long-awaited first novel for Julie Dumaine. The initial draft of this novel emerged during a memorably warm summer, spent near the Lake Massawippi in Quebec. Dumaine kept her dream to write and publish alive ever since her youth. Through the busy days of her career as a public sector manager in Canada and through the years of the pandemic, her dream to publish continues to further thrive. She likes spending her leisure time playing the piano, swimming, or hiking but comes fully alive sharing her table of good food and wine in the company of her beloved family and friends. She feels strongly that growth and wisdom often emerge through hardships and that faith, love, and resilience are paramount to a significant life.
