The House, Classics To Go

La Maison, (The House) is a return to childhood and Henry Bordeaux birthplace. He came from a Catholic, royalist family, and he describes this environment. His childhood was lulled by the family's hope of the accession to the throne of the Count of Chambord (Henri V). Although he did not declare himself hostile to the republic, he often portrayed it with great irony. The novel's plot is based on the cohabitation of three generations in the family home.
