Lorenzo Medrano

A longtime resident of Chicago, Lorenzo grew restless with an insatiable appetite for the arts. With an acting degree in hand and an endless resume of dance, painting, and illustrating, Lorenzo found answers through his residency in New York and Los Angeles. After numerous performances in theatre and television, he tried his hand at playwriting. Although his play was successfully received in L.A., Lorenzo embarked upon his greatest journey yet – illustrating and co-authoring a childrens book with his beautiful wife, Cherie.

Cherie is a compassionate author, photographer, and aunt. She earned her BA with a focus in photography from Columbia College, Chicago. Cherie and her husband (the co-author) both come from large families. Together, they have over 30 nieces and nephews and counting! Always surrounded by children, Cherie understands how important it is to show compassion and kindness to ALL people, including our treasured, experienced seniors.
