Poet, prose writer, screenwriter, and multimedia creator, born in 1965, in Poland. Jarek Tomszak lived there until the mid-1980s. Since then, he has lived in the United States. He has published three volumes of poetry in Polish: Awakening, Decades, and Comet in Coma and two collections of short stories: The Official Version and The Last Horizon, which was awarded the ‘Golden Kościej Award’ in 2019 in the category ‘Short Story of the Year’. He also wrote short stories and screenplays in English. His film Showroom Dummies was awarded at the Slamdance, an online festival of experimental short films. The Eden Evacuation is his first novel written and completed in English.
