Gregory Garret

Gregory Garrett was born in Tyler, Texas, a small eastern town known for it's red roses and legendary athletic greats such as Earl Campbell. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, who heavily instilled in him christian morals and values. He grew up in a very strict household. During his younger years, he became very artistic. Being the only child growing up and abiding by the rule of strict grandparents, actually helped him develop a creative mind and unveil his hidden talents. Gregory went on to graduate in 1989 at John Tyler High School.. In the years to come, reading became his passion. After reading many novels by various authours, he was inspired to begin writing. In 2004, he began dibbling and dabbling with writing. He took bits and pieces of his life along with some creative ideas and imagination and combining them into a stories. After tremendous effort, frustration, patience, will power, and mounds of balled up paper in trashcans, he went on to have his first novel published in 2006, "DON'T MIX THE BITTER WITH THE SWEET", then later later came PLAYING FOR KEEPS and PAIN FREAK. Currently, Gregory Garrett resides in Arlington, Texas. He is the father of four children. His hobbies are football, basketball, and writing.
