Lionel Bascom
Prof. Bascom is a member of the faculty in the Department of Writing, Linguistics and Creative Process at Western Connecticut State University. He was a two-time member of the Pulitzer Prize Jury in Journalism at Columbia University. He has written and edited numerous non-fiction books, including Harlem: Crucible of Modern African American Culture, A Renaissance in Harlem and The Last Leaf of Harlem. Prof. Bascom is a long-time investigative reporter whose work has appeared in Time Inc. publications, including Money and Fortune magazines, the New York Times and scores of other mainstream publications.
