Rose

The year is 1938. On her deathbed, Billy’s mother tells him he has a sister named Rose. Billy doesn’t believe her. Before she dies, Billy promises to find Rose.

His sister had been sent to Rosewood Asylum since the age of three. But that was only the beginning of her ordeal. Billy’s search takes him behind asylum walls, into the world of prostitution, drugs, human trafficking and corrupt lawyers.

The characters find their lives intertwined as they relive Billy’s mother’s life. As the search progresses, it takes them into the depths of human degradation, helplessness and suicide. Expecting to find Rose and celebrate her homecoming, they discover only the shell of a young woman stripped of her soul and spirit.
