Kelly Kirkman, Karen Swensen

Karen Swensen wrote this book as a gift for her daughter, Catherine, on her first birthday. The story is based on the ragtag group of stuffed animals in her crib. Ms. Swensen is an Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist with more than ten years’ experience in investigative and feature reporting. She is the anchor newsperson for New England Cable Television, channels 6 and 28, and lives in Danvers, Massachusetts, with her husband and daughter.

New Orleans native Kelly Kirkman, wife and mother of two children, Madison and Remy, taught prekindergarten for ten years. Illustrating Catherine the Great and Her Teatime Tagalongs combined her love for art and children.
