I Remember When...

All children go through the same experiences growing up, some are fun, some are yummy, and some are even scary! I Remember When… book series captures all of these first moments to help prepare and guide younger children on what to expect. For older children, it will trigger cognitive thinking and stimulate wonderful memories. Together, we all share the common experiences of attending school for the first time, having delicious food for the first time, and looking forward to playing and having fun in the snow for the first time plus countless other experiences. The point of view of the experiences is from the author, Fatima Attia, when she was a little girl growing up in Brooklyn, New York, and sharing them with her family and friends.

Fatima Attia

Fatima Attia was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She is a former teacher and paraprofessional and has always had a passion for writing and art. She is also a mother to a beautiful, smart, energetic three-year-old daughter. Her children’s book series, I Remember When… is a direct result of her experiences growing up as a child.

The book is meant to establish two things: The first is to prepare young children and those with special needs for new experiences. The second is to stimulate cognitive recognition and memory in older children.
