Kissed by the Sun, Hugged by the Moon

Orange and purple sunsets, silvery shining moons, and a riverbank full of life. With the many plentiful resources available to her and with her creativity overflowing, Pearl should have no problem becoming any and everything her beautiful and kind heart desires. There’s only one problem; with all the colorful shades of life and energy around her, she just can’t seem to find her place in it at all. Nothing makes sense until, with Mama’s love and the help of her dear friends, she realizes just why being anything but herself would be unfair to the world around her.

Kaitlyn McGauley, Naira Tangamyan

Born in Southern California, Kaitlyn McGauley now resides in Sonoma County with her two children, where she works full-time in health care. After the birth of her now ten-year-old daughter and realizing the lack of diversity in children’s books, Kaitlyn was determined to write a story with characters her children could identify proudly with. Kissed by the Sun, Hugged by the Moon is Kaitlyn’s first children’s book and one that she hopes will find its way into the heart and homes of many.
