Carol Matas

Carol Matas figure parmi les auteurs de romans historiques les plus renommés au pays. Même si elle a écrit différents types d'ouvrages, elle est particulièrement connue pour ses livres portant sur la Deuxième Guerre mondiale et l'Holocauste. Elle a reçu plusieurs récompenses, dont une nomination pour le Prix littéraire du Gouverneur général et le prix Geoffrey Bilson (romans historiques pour les jeunes). Carol vit au Manitoba avec sa famille.

Carol Matas has won numerous awards for her many books about the Holocaust, including the Jewish Book Award, and both the Silver Birch Award and a Governor General's nomination for Daniel's Story. Her earlier titles in the Dear Canada (Cher Journal) series, Footsteps in the Snow (Des pas sur la neige) and Turned Away (Entrée refusée) each of which were shortlisted for numerous awards. Her I Am Canada (Au Canada...) and Behind Enemy Lines (Derrière les lignes ennemies) has been very popular and well reviewed.
