Orissa

There are certain books that are not like the others. Books that contain more than a handful of related pages linked only by the excuse of coherence. Writings that beat under their tinted cardboard shell, harboring feelings so warm that the reader often has the feeling of consuming them under his own skin.
Orissa is one of those books. A colorful and captivating literary walk that will immediately transport you to colonial India in the early twentieth century. There you will live a beautiful, enigmatic and exciting story in which the conjuration and ambition merge with intense and close feelings. Orissa is able to defoliate in the alternation of its narrative torrent the visceral and the sensual, the raw and the delicate, the most entrenched hatred and unconditional love. Let Orissa return your passion for reading.

Alberto Rueda, Denia McGrew

Born in Aviles in 1980, his debut comes in 2016 with the publication of 'Orissa', an epic and mysterious adventure set in India during the British colonial era. The work, divided into two parts, gets excellent reviews thanks to a fluid and enveloping narrative, a thorough treatment of the characters and an intriguing plot, full of enigmatic events and unexpected twists.
Months later, Alberto joins the first cooperative of writers as a promoter and collaborates in the organization of the Literanian reading festival, ten days full of conferences, theater, poetry recitals, live music and children's storytelling, among other activities. Simultaneously, Alberto finished the launch of 'Hale-Bopp', a new proposal where science fiction takes center stage, without losing the essence of his characteristic style.
As a result of the success of the novel, in 2018 appears 'Oneiric: The Secret of the Dragonfly', where a new twist is given to the approach of its predecessor.
