Margaret Duddin

Margaret was born in Washington, County Durham in the North of England. County Durham is a historic and beautiful city with a cathedral that draws international tourists and students. Only a short drive away is the County of Northumberland with its magnificent coastline and castles. Margaret trained to be a teacher at Newcastle University and spent her first year living in Alnwick Castle, which is featured in the Harry Potter films. Her teaching career was varied, to say the least, mainly in senior schools, but also in special needs schools and in the private sector. Margaret has also mentored teachers in training. On retirement, she was elected as a local councilor, a role she loved. She writes articles and opinion pieces for the local paper on social issues. She loves traveling; the Greek Islands and Italy are her favorite destinations. She has visited America and loves the people and their welcoming attitude. Margaret currently lives in a small town called Whickham with her husband and daughter. She is "very rich" in friends.
