The Country Way

Jorja Hawkins has a good reason to mistrust the Andrews family, so when Tom Andrews and his twin daughters' paths cross hers unexpectedly, old fears are re-ignited. Fear turns to anger when she realizes the twins are suspicious of what happened twenty years ago in the country town of Bell Creek, where both she and Tom taught at the local primary school, and Tom operated the family property as well. They suspect their grandmother may have been instrumental in Jorja's sudden and inexplicable departure from Bell Creek all those years ago. Jorja has no idea how Tom will react if the girls do find out the truth and make him aware of her actions. Whatever happens, she knows the inescapable fact is that the future of their two families will be forever altered.

Karrie Golightly resides in a northern bayside suburb of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. In later life, she has finally found time to devote to her lifelong love of fiction writing after a career spent writing training modules for industry. Growing up in the cattle capital of the state gave her an understanding of country life and the many forces at play in country areas. She is currently working on her second novel.
