She has worked as a forestry insurance claims coordinator, business administrator, a fancy dress shop sales assistant, and a childminder, among many other things. She lives in Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire with her husband Steve and their dog Flossie. They have two grown children and a granddaughter.
