Vienna Dunham Schmidt

Vienna Dunham Schmidt has had a lifelong interest in discovery, invention, helpfulness, and problem-solving. These gifts dovetail beautifully in this chapter of her life as a massage therapist. Additional strengths of optimism and ideation help her to believe that the answer to any current challenge is just around the corner. The roots of Vienna’s book, Stop the Pain: Your Hands-On Manual for Neck and Back Release, go back to her college days of helping friends with neck and back aches, even while not yet understanding that this was part of her own destiny. When presented with a unique opportunity to train and work with Massage Envy in massage therapy, she eagerly accepted. Vienna’s curiosity piqued when she began to see a pattern of chronic pain and knots in clients’ mid- and upper backs. Frequently the issues can be traced back to ribs that have been lifted out of position and need muscle tension released so they can go back home. The gentle and effective program that she has innovated has led friends to call her the Rib Whisperer. Vienna currently resides in Olathe, KS.
