Tarzan and the Lost Empire, Tarzan

In this classic fantasy adventure, the Roman empire has survived in the jungle, and Tarzan must battle for his life in a gladiatorial arena.

In the heart of Africa, a young German archaeologist named Erich von Harben investigates the legend of the Lost Tribe of the Wiramwazi Mountains, only to disappear. His father, an old missionary, fortunately has a friend he can look to for help: Tarzan of the Apes.

As the ape-man begins his search for the missing explorer, the trail leads him to a valley where two rival ancient Roman cities have survived practically unchanged by time. While Erich is held prisoner in Castrum Mare, Tarzan heads to Castra Sanguinarius. Both men manage to make enemies of the wrong people and are soon thrust into the gladiatorial arenas to battle for their lives. To escape this hell now won’t be easy . . .
