Sam Sharkey is quite a character. A shark raised by a human daddy, he spends his days in the quiet seaside town of Schull, surrounded by his family and friends, and motivated by his dream. You see, Sam is no ordinary shark, he dreams of being the world’s first shark detective. With a heart as big as the ocean, Sam is about to set out to make his dream a reality.

Ross Carey

Ross Carey was born, raised, and lives in County Cork, Ireland. He attended University College Cork and lives in Douglas. He has worked with children most of his life and was inspired by their joy and optimism to work in children’s literature. Though he has been writing since he himself was a child, The Shark Detective is his first published book.
