Réka Horváth, Agnes Quirin

Réka Horváth was born into an alcoholic family in 1969, in Budapest. She obtained her diploma in History and Literacy in 1993 from the University of ELTE. In 2021, she earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Studies. She has three children, and she raised her sister’s two daughters, so she is a mother of five. She married in 1994 and divorced in 2023. She worked as a Marketing Director, Sales Leader, and as a Managing Director at different media companies. In 2020, during the Covid outbreak,she burnt out and she had a mental breakdown. She reflected on her past and started to heal herself. Agnes Quirin is a graphic artist, complex art, and relaxation therapist. She finished her studies at the Hungarian Art and Design University as a Graphic artist. She got her complex art therapy diploma from John Wesley University and her relaxation and symbolic therapy diploma from Hungarian Association of Relaxation and Symboltherapy. In her earlier carrier, she created backgrounds for animated cartoons and storyboarding for animations and nature movies. She was an instructor at the Visart Artistic Academy’s Advertising graphics Production department. As an art therapist, she worked with pre-schoolers, teenagers, and mothers, and she is a university lecturer in Antalfai Development and Health Promotion Art Therapy in Sapientia College of Theology of Religious Orders. In her creations, the expressions are deeply symbolic in content as she aims to “touch the spirits within”. After graduating from a Fine Art College in Hungary, Eva moved to Canada. Her life journey was challenging and colourful. Eva attended a few different colleges and built up a carrier for herself. Some of the highlights were creating a Decorating/Painting/Renovating business and becoming an Instructor at the Vancouver School Board to teach interior design, murals, and faux paintings. She created a few three-dimensional big-scale wall murals for day-cares, baths, houses and commercial walls, etc. On the side, Eva was an accredited Interpreter/Translator across Canada, Canada Border Service Agency, and Canada Immigration and Refugee Board, and the court.
