Short, comprehensive book about the Balkan wars of 1912/1913. It focusses not on the gory details of the battlefield but on the political background of the conflict. Secret agreements, backstabbing and lies: it was all there. The author tell about them as far as he knew about them, and acknowledges it when he doesn't know things for sure. The book gives a good overview of the histories of the different countries, nations and religions and how those are all connected and overlapping. (Excerpt from Goodreads)
