When Gideon Dunbar witnesses the kidnapping of a young woman on a Brooklyn street, all his military training is called upon in an attempt to rescue her. Shot at and left for dead by the kidnappers, Gideon’s sense of duty and vengeance is awakened. Gideon is caught between the CIA investigation of this political crime, the Mossad’s secretive interest in the incident and an implacable foe out to kill the only witness who can hinder their plan. A deadly trail leads from the streets of New York to the burning shores of war-torn Libya, and on to the severe beauty of a wintery Sevastopol in the Crimea. Neither Gideon nor the pursuing CIA and Mossad agents can fathom how ruthless the enemy is, or how deep the deception runs that has led to this explosive moment. As Gideon wades into this cesspool of political expediency, violence and death, he uncovers a terror plot so sophisticated, so catastrophic, all his courage must be called upon to avert disaster.
