This book contains Bible verses expressed in inspirational prayers. The prayers are written in rhyming poems. Each page has its own story to tell. I wrote these poetic prayers every day, once a night. It was my way to worship God and ask him to come to save me and guide me in hardship times. He didn’t disappoint. I was a little teenager from a broken country in the war. I left my family when I was 17 years old and tried to follow my biggest dream which was coming to the United States and living free for ones. Jesus took care of me. But after I got what I wanted, I broke up with him and followed my selfish desires. I then got lost and fell. I gave up on Jesus, but he never gave up on me. After all the bad things I had done to myself and others I was at my lowest moment, hopeless and alone. I wrote these rhyming words to call him. Jesus again didn’t turn his face away from me. He came and rescued me again and again. I pray to God that this book helps you too and shows you a light in the darkest moments. God bless you.
James Hanna was born and raised in the north of Iraq. He relocated to the United States in 2019. James has been fascinated with poetry since he was a little kid. He wrote his first poem for his first girlfriend when he was 12 years old, in the Assyrian language, and later in Arabic and Kurdish. He always made sure his words rhymed, creating beautiful art that told stories of his life. Additionally, he quickly learned English using a specific technique: he transformed the most common English words into poetic form to aid in memorizing their meanings.
