Jacob is a Siamese cat living in a house with his cat-brother Robert, a human mother and a human child. Jacob is not elegant, as you would expect a Siamese cat to be. He isn’t even mysterious or very independent, as one would expect any cat to be. Jacob is chubby and a little clumsy. He loves his family very deeply and tries to find ways to keep everyone happy. When doing this, funny and heart-warming events arise. In this book, Jacob is telling his true story in his own words.
Maria Lindstroem got bored writing dry scientific texts (having made her career in the pharmaceutical industry). She started maintaining a blog. Maria grew up with dogs and considered herself a ‘dog person’. This changed when two Siamese kittens entered her life. Her daughter named the feline brothers Jacob and Robert and soon Maria’s blog was filled with the deep thoughts of ‘Robert the Serious Siamese’. Jacob turned out to be a bit clumsy, and things just happened to him. Maria wanted to give Jacob a voice and share his real-life experiences with people with an appetite for how funny daily life can be when living with pets.
