The Couriers

Remy Akbari is a successful, independently wealthy widow, who becomes involved in managing, sourcing, and delivering different generally legitimate commodities for clients. She is approached by someone, keen to bring together some important artefacts and intrigued by their request, employs a team to act as couriers, to collect the items. This was the easy part! From the moment she agrees, things become more complex than she could possibly have imagined, involving tragic events from the past, the consequences of which echo into the future. The story addresses aspects of betrayal, conspiracy, and tragedy, as it explores her relationship with three men who play significant roles in her life, their underlying intentions, and motives. Ultimately, the story reveals the potential importance of bringing these items together for the people of Iran, where struggles for greater freedom have been stifled by the lack of a unified opposition. Will Remy’s quest deliver the catalyst?

Doreen Fellingham

As the only child of busy parents, Doreen Fellingham used her vivid imagination to go on amazing adventures and build wonderful worlds. Initially the stories were the ones she told herself, but eventually they were even acted out with her friends. In time she started to write these ideas down. Her career in teaching enabled her to finally develop and use many of her ideas, turning them into plays, or stories which she used along with her artwork to entertain, encourage and engage children. Travel had always played an important part in her life, from her early years with her mother and then with her husband. It was on one of these trips that she first saw her leading lady.
