As one of the fastest growing counties in the country, Boone County has come a long way since its founding in 1799. Communities such as Florence, Union, and Burlington have changed dramatically, but residents still remember the vibrant past. Others such as Rabbit Hash, Belleview, and Petersburg remain small towns with much of their historic charm.
